Moulton View is a spacious, warm, comfortable and cosy home from home where you will immediately feel at ease. It is in an idyllic setting with attractive private gardens, lovely views and set in the rural village of Moulton near Richmond but only five minutes from the A1(M) at Scotch Corner.
Moulton View’s location is ideal as a base for visiting Herriot Country’s many visitor attractions, castles, house and gardens, (Kiplin Hall and Gardens is 15 minutes away by car), the market towns like nearby Richmond and, it is only 20 miles to the World of James Herriot in Thirsk. If you like walking and hiking, the Yorkshire Dales and Cleveland Hills beckon nearby. There is a village shop and post office on either side of Moulton in nearby villages 5 minutes by car. There are lovely walks in the next village of Scorton including Scorton Lake and also part of the coast to coast walk.
Moulton View is appointed with elegant décor and equipped with high-quality furniture, fixtures and fittings, well thought out indoor and outdoor spaces. There is a lovely lounge with patio doors to the garden, dining area and fully equipped modern kitchen.
Bedrooms comprise one double room with oak framed king size bed in a king size bed room and one twin room with oak framed bed accommodating up to four people and with space for a cot for a small child. There are fitted wardrobes with ample space for hanging your clothes, storing your shoes and walking boots. On the dressing table is a TV and you will find a digital clock radio, a comfortable chair and mirrors for dressing and getting ready for the day.
The Bathroom has a large extra wide bath with shower over, heated towel rail below an illuminated mirror with shaving point. The WC is separate from the bathroom in its own room with corner sink.
Moulton View is dog friendly welcoming one well behaved dog, free of charge. (Occasionally two very small dogs are welcomed, please enquire).
There are three different seating areas outside, the front patio has a bistro table and chairs, and belongs to the cottage, the grassed area in front is communal. Moulton View shares this with the adjacent properties.
A private garden to the rear of the cottage with decking surrounded by fencing and a gate. This seats four to eight people (including foot stools used as seats ) and a glassed topped rattan table. Relaxing sounds from a lovely water feature adds a pleasing atmosphere as you spend time with family and friends, and enjoying meals together in the warm weather. There’s a hose pipe for cleaning your dog’s muddy paws or your wellies/boots.
The third amazing quirky garden, also decked and private is reached via a spiral staircase. Once at the top, you will see across the countryside and Yorkshire fields. The rattan sofas and chairs provide a great place to relax with a drink and to see the wildlife and animals running about in the fields. In good weather, it is a fabulous sun trap, with amazing sunsets to see on an evening.
The Black Bull in the village is a dog friendly pub and has a large seating area outside. It’s only a few yards from Moulton View. About 2 miles away there are another three pubs, all very different depending on what you preferences.
Access to nearby Leisure Facility – As a guest at Moulton View, a special guest rate has been secured to use at Active Life Leisure Club only 2.5 miles away from Moulton. The pass will allow you full access to use the 14 metre swimming pool, steam room, sauna, gym and all fitness classes at any time, and as many times as you would like. It will also afford you 10% discount on beauty treatments and 20% discount at the Hotel on meals.
