There’s a sense of home in Leyburn whatever type of accommodation you choose as there’s something for everyone from fine town centre hotels and inns to self-catering cottages, some fabulous B&Bs plus glamping, caravan and camping sites.

Leyburn is an attraction in its own right with such a fabulous location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales but artisan chocolate, the largest auction rooms in the North and the Wensleydale Railway as starters, you’ll find so much more. . .

Food & Drink

A brief walk around the Leyburn town centre brings a choice of food and drink offerings from light bites to gourmet dining and one of the best wine stores in Herriot Country. . .

”Leyburn – a town for all seasons”

Leyburn is at the heart of Wensleydale with breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside. A Dales gateway known as “A Town for all Seasons”, Leyburn is a high quality destination with unusual local shops and cafes, traditional pubs, restaurants and a weekly market. For walking, sightseeing or somewhere to just watch the rural world go by, Leyburn is a delightful scene.

The town is best explored on foot via the network of bridleways and paths and when you are ready to take a break detour to a local chocolatier, a quaint tearoom or bid for a bargain at one of the antique auctions. Nearby ‘Forbidden Corner’, a trip on the scenic Wensleydale Railway to Redmire or the striking limestone ‘shawl’ to nearby Aysgarth Falls is ideal for fun-loving families.
