Long Acre is a small self-catering complex, made up of a couple buildings designed for visitors to get a staycation away. This accommodation is situated in Thirsk just within a short walking distance of the Historic Thirsk Town Centre in the heart of Herriot Country.
It is an owned by a family and holds a small land of 2 acres which keeps the old breeds of poultry, rescue owls and birds of prey. Guests are free to use the picnic table and the recreational field in the gardens provided on-site.
The family offers visitors free range eggs and home-made produce which are available to buy when staying at Long Acre. There are 2 apartments which were both newly refurbished in 2018. The first one being able to accommodate 4 people and cot facilities, and the other being for people with a wheelchair/disabled so they can access the building, which accommodates 2-3 people.
Long Acre has free Wi-Fi which is available for all guests staying in the apartments and it also has off-street parking to make it more accessible to get to. With it being such a short distance away from the Town Centre visitors have the option to check out the huge list of local attractions with a major one being The World of James Herriot.
