Owners of the Herriot’s Guest House in Hawes, Glenn and Liz Payne, have been welcoming guests to the Herriot Country for over 10 years. Their 4-star B&B is situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales where All Creatures Great & Small was filmed nearby and based on the fantastic surrounding attractions. Also referred to as ‘Walk-Shire.’
The Guest House offers bed and breakfast facilities for all visitors in six relaxing en-suite bedrooms, which all benefit from the same home-from-home comforts. The house is over 200 years old on the main street that runs through Hawes (the highest market town in England.) This visit would be the perfect holiday break to get away and do something different in a peaceful environment.
This house has consistently had top reviews for their well-kept staycation, winning a Certificate of Excellence every year since 2011. With the help of All Creatures Great and Small being filmed in this area it has picked up a lot of attraction recently and with Yorkshire being voted one of the top destinations to visit in the world, it certainly has a lot to show for it.
Hawes is in Upper Wensleydale on the Pennine Way, Herriot Way, Lady Anne Way and close to the Dales way. On guests travels here they could step out onto the doorstep to find the stunning countryside of Herriot Country and it’s also fantastic for a day’s walk for those wanting to get their boots muddy.
