Green Wood Parks Northcliffe and Seaview Leisure Parks Whitby

Nestled and hidden on the coast of the North York Moors National Park near Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay, Northcliffe and Seaview Leisure Parks are in a beautiful location and what we call James Herriot’s seaside.

The parks are two miles north of Robin Hood’s Bay and four miles south of Whitby on the picturesque North Yorkshire Coast that take in the Cleveland Way and the Cinder Track. Set in forty-five acres, the parks are full of holiday amenities, static pitches, touring pitches and glamping pods. There’s a Coast Café Bar, various outdoor and indoor games areas, a children’s play area, centrally heated toilet and shower facilities including baby bath, hand driers and a dishwashing area. There are two play parks at Northcliffe for different age groups and a games room and tots area at Seaview. A wildlife walk with ten different wildlife boards, a butterfly garden, conservation area, wild flower meadow and bug hotel all to engage and encourage families in the natural environment. At Northcliffe there’s also outdoor chess, sandbox, mini-pirate ship a Wendy house and two tennis tables.

Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay are two of the nicest Herriot Country coastal towns with sandy beaches, pretty harbours, cobbled streets, coastal pathways, rockpools, donkey rides and a wide range of pubs, cafes, restaurants and the best fish and chips in the country, plus, dream ice-cream…

Alf Wight OBE (James Herriot) often came to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay with his family whenever they had the opportunity…
