Elmfield House, home to Herriot Country, is a family run B&B located off the A1 just 15 minutes from Leeming Bar. Luke and Kirsty Haslam, the owners of Elmfield House, have lived in the area of Wensleydale for 15 years and are based on-site to give help to guests with any queries. This dedicated guest accommodation is separate, allowing visitors as much privacy as possible.
The house is in a peaceful location in the centre of 24 acres of woodland, paddocks and a lake, which visitors get the opportunity to explore. They welcome the guests, old and new, with a cup of tea and home-made cake to give the visitors of Herriot Country a high-quality comforting experience while visiting Elmfield House.
As well as the welcome gift provided comes a traditional Yorkshire breakfast, which is cooked to order. This breakfast is accompanied by fruit juice or a choice of as much tea and coffee as you would like, in addition to the toast made with their own home-made bread.
Elmfield House is a self-catering accommodation, which is all on one level for guests with accessibility needs. It offers the ideal break for visitors to Herriot Country as it is within easy reach to the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Park.
A perfect staycation away for a couple or some friends wanting to explore the countryside where James Herriot may have once travelled through…
