Built in 1863, Eastfield Lodge has undergone many changes and the warm fire, crisp white bedding and the comfort awaits you as does a true Yorkshire welcome from Penny and Henry. Located on the edge of the market town of Leyburn it allows easy access to shops, pubs and restaurants while the Lodge itself provides exceptionally comfortable bedrooms as well as three reception rooms to split groups into separate discussion hubs, activities or social areas.
Henry and Penny are experienced at catering for a huge range of bespoke groups and the property can be booked for self-catered stays or with varying levels of hosting and can tailor your visit to suit your needs and requirements. With so much available nearby, it is easy to find places to eat and drink or simply to hunker down in the Lodge itself. Whether in the main Lodge or the cosy self-contained apartments, with family or with friends, active or restful, this is a place where you can enjoy just the break you need.
Recent updates have been completed including the development of two independent self-contained apartments, The Den and The Holt, within the adjacent Coach House. The main Lodge has recently been fully refurbished including all rooms and ensuites and provides the creation of a Snug Room/Bar replacing the old office to introduce a further family reception room on the ground floor with a large TV and games.
Eastfield Lodge has its own car park for six or seven cars and two electric charging points. Built originally as part of the Bolton Estate Eastfield Lodge is only 12 miles from the A1 and its proximity close to the thriving town of Leyburn makes it a popular destination for families and groups staying on self-catered and hosted stays. The market town has good facilities with a post office, two supermarkets, independents shops, tearooms galore, three churches, four pubs, a fish and chip shop, a bistro, three restaurants and a weekly market.
The area has many activities taking place throughout the year such as the Food and Drink Festival, Wensleydale Agricultural Show, Swaledale Art & Music Festival, Dark Skies and the 1940’s re-enactment Weekend. The Wensleydale Railway known as The Herriot Country Line, operates from Leyburn Station and Leyburn and Eastfield Lodge offer so much for visitors to Herriot Country
