Leyburn

”Leyburn – a town for all seasons”

Leyburn is at the heart of Wensleydale with breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside. A Dales gateway known as “A Town for all Seasons”, Leyburn is a high quality destination with unusual local shops and cafes, traditional pubs, restaurants and a weekly market. For walking, sightseeing or somewhere to just watch the rural world go by, Leyburn is a delightful scene.

The town is best explored on foot via the network of bridleways and paths and when you are ready to take a break detour to a local chocolatier, a quaint tearoom or bid for a bargain at one of the antique auctions. Nearby ‘Forbidden Corner’, a trip on the scenic Wensleydale Railway to Redmire or the striking limestone ‘shawl’ to nearby Aysgarth Falls is ideal for fun-loving families.
