A beautiful country setting with 170 acres of varied woodland, 85 acres of parkland grass and three miles of hard roads and tracks, woodland walks, small lakes and woodland walks. Indoors there’s Orangery seating 200 people, Rustic Barn for up to 150 people and Safari Tent for 100 people
Built in 1738 the Estate has been a family home, a sporting residence, to the Serjeantson’s, Leyland’s, Reynard’s and since 1945, an agricultural estate and the Ropner family took the helm in 1993, opening its gates to the public in 1996. Over one million members of the public have visited over the past two decades, Camp Hill Estate has built a reputation for delivering fun in a thrilling, creative and inventive way for all its audiences.
Camp Hill’s small but dynamic team of event experts specialise in school, education and youth groups outdoor learning days and residential visits plus bespoke corporate events as well as glamping for families, private parties, festivals, shows, weddings and large-scale events.
The estate is home to Camp Katur Glamping Village which is an ‘Off the Grid” glamping experience that includes Safari Tents, Tipi, Bell Tents, Hobbit Pods, Geodomes, Unidomes, and a cosy upcycled cosy cabin called Bears Lodge. This is all to be found in meadow and woodland within Camp Hill Estate which is a mix of relaxation, tranquillity and adventure. Especially a favourite with families, groups of friends and couples as a back to basics way of living and for spending quality time in a natural outdoor environment.
Camp Kestrel Village is a new and exciting addition to Camp Hill Estate that is set in a spacious self-contained area and with a community feel that has a fire pit, fully lit festooned lighting and bell tents that are an awesome way to sleep with nature. Located next to the large sports field, there’s also a Safari dining room, multi-use space and brand-new toilets and shower facilities. There’s also a 40-capacity woodland lodge group cabins.
In addition to this, a wide range of events is held on the site including Camp Hill Sausage & Beer Festival, Dubs int Dales VW Campervan Festival, North Yorkshire County Show and Bear Souls Yoga Dome so there’s a whole package of adventure on this 300-acre estate.

How To Find Camp Hill
Just 5 minutes off the A1(M) we are only 50 minutes by car from Leeds and York and 30 minutes from Harrogate. Local coach companies provide easy return transport to major cities and the World of James Herriot in Thirsk is only 15 minutes away and where there is also the mainline train station.
