Roots Farm Shop

Roots Farm Shop is situated on the outskirts of the market Town, Northallerton, in the heart of Herriot Country. Roots was established back in 2008 which the owners came with the mindset to improve the achievability of the family farm, and the desire to sell a fantastic quality of local produce to their community. The farm ran by the Hutchinson family is a mixed beef and a land of enterprise based at the Home Farm, which is a part of the Arncliffe Estate. 

Roots was built to be the social hub for the locals, giving them the opportunity to chat with the neighbours and for the town to enjoy what the countryside brings to the area. They offer a local outlet for the produce they provide throughout Yorkshire and Herriot Country. 

The café has an outstanding but relaxed atmosphere which they care to share to the locals to make them feel completely welcomed to the countryside. New customers often get the chance to meet the family and to get to learn the history of the local areas. They also get to sample the local produce in the café and then buy the same ingredients in the shop to take home and make themselves. 

The café team has a great passion for cooking, which all the meals are prepared and cooked from scratch when each order is placed. Examples of their produce are scones, quiches, tray bakes, pork pies, pasties, sausage rolls and famous steaks and pies. Also stocking a variety of handpicked gifts, which is an ideal treat to take home to customers families to enjoy too.
