Low Mill Guesthouse is situated in the cosy village of Bainbridge, in the heart of Herriot Country. This property is Grade II listed and is traditionally built by stone. It was built back in the late 1800s and with it being in Bainbridge it is also close to the ancient market town of Hawes, putting it in the perfect spot to visit many more attractions nearby and backing onto the River Bain which is the shortest river in England.
A vast majority of the original millworks throughout the property remain in working order, including the waterwheel. It has undergone a full restoration to become an independent but fascinating Guesthouse. The mill provides a top-quality bed and breakfast accommodation whilst keeping the original historic feeling of the Dales mill. There is a garden down by the riverside which guests can use to relax in and private parking is available.
Low Mill Guesthouse has won many awards over the past few years one of them being: “Deliciously Yorkshire Best use of local produce on a menu.” The staff make sure they meet all the guests needs and have shown that in all the awards they have won.
It is only an hour drive away from the historic Thirsk Town Centre in which guests can visit to see more local attractions across Herriot Country, such as the local restaurants/shops or even the huge museum of The World of James Herriot.
