The Station Richmond

The Station is a vibrant creative space in Richmond, North Yorkshire, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

The Station is a community hub where people can get together and make memories; a place where film, food and art are enjoyed in the unique setting of Richmond’s lovingly restored Victorian station building.

Where will your journey take you?

The Station is home to a three-screen cinema, award winning restaurant, gift and lifestyle shop, galleries, bookstall, and a selection of independent business including:

  • The Angels Share Bakery
  • Archers Ice Cream Parlour
  • The Brew Station Micro Brewery
  • Charlotte Jacqueline School of Dance
  • Goosewing Studios Creative Space

Throughout the year, The Station hosts an exciting programme of events, exhibitions, talks and workshops. The Station is also home to a number of regular groups and classes.

Retaining many of its original railway features, visitors to The Station can walk along the platform and see the original iron work and magnificent glazed roof. Owned and operated by the Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust, a locally based heritage restoration charity, all profits go back to the upkeep and improvement of this very special place. The Station is a place to catch up over coffee; see an exhibition; watch a film; try new things; shop for local produce and gifts; or share a meal with family and friends.

The Station is open daily from 9am.
