The Kings Arms Sandhutton

The King’s Arms Sandhutton is situated in the heart of Herriot Country in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Alex Boynton and his father Raymond decided to re-open The King’s Arms in 2006 to venture into new beginnings with some of the other Boynton family members. Ever since they re-opened it has become a very successful modern pub and restaurant with a high reputation.

The Boynton’s made this business into one of their own with their individual styles of cooking and hospitality making it into the pub it is today, The King’s Arms. Aswell as it being a modern pub, they turned it into a more traditional experience for visitors to Herriot Country. The family prides themselves in making it a well-priced but simple restaurant so guests have an easy time here relaxing and enjoying the cosy atmosphere.

The meals they provide to the visitors are all from local produce when available, keeping it delicious as well as always maintaining the top quality for the best taste. Alongside their lovely meals they offer locally brewed real ales and a vast range of fine wines and spirits.

Only a short drive away are the historic towns guests can visit on their travels to Herriot Country are, Thirsk, Northallerton and Ripon as well as the stunning city of York with many more attractions to see there. In Thirsk Town Centre you can visit the fantastic museum The World of James Herriot where you can learn about Sir Alfred Wight who may have spent some time in The King’s Arms.
