Landrace Cottage

Landrace Cottage is located in Carlton Miniott, Thirsk, in the heart of Herriot Country. This cottage was renovated by its now owners and was rebuilt from a derelict piggery into the luxurious cottage it is today. With it being situated in Carlton Miniott it overlooks the Hambleton Hills and the countryside of Yorkshire. 

Visitors get a lovely staycation in this two-bedroom detached cottage which is furnished with high standard hand-crafted items. Ranging from leather sofas underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove, this property provides all the guests needs. 

Landrace Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales which can both be reached within a half an hour drive and the wonderful coastal attractions of Whitby and Scarborough are around an hours’ drive away. The City of York is just 20 minutes by train which the station is only 1 mile from the cottage. 

With this cottage being within a short distance to the historic Thirsk Town Centre visitors to this property can travel 5 minutes to see the big attractive museum, The World of James Herriot Centre. Along with the local restaurants and shops in the area there is always a lot for visitors to do when they stay at Landrace cottage.
