Northallerton

County town of North Yorkshire, Northallerton combines rural and industrial prowess. With the East Coast main line and branches to the Wensleydale Railway to Leeming Bar, through Bedale, Leyburn and on to Redmire, rail enthusiasts are well catered for. Other pursuits and activities around the town include a famous Betty’s Tearoom, a Wednesday and Saturday market plus the historic remains of a Roman settlement.

It was also one of the main towns on ‘The Great North Road’ in the coaching era and as a thriving centre includes many and varied independent shops and stores.
